Sergei Sokolenko is the Product Manager for Google Cloud Dataflow, a unified streaming and batch data processing service by Google. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School, and a Master of Computer Science degree from the Technical University of Munich, Germany.

One of his hobbies is contributing to the Dataflow Opinion Analysis project /available at Github/, growing the code base of samples and design patterns of streaming data processing and machine learning for Google Cloud users.

He also volunteers for Razom for Ukraine, a non-profit organization that helps build a prosperous Ukraine by supporting Ukrainian IT startups in finding markets in the United States, organizing various Culture Exchange projects in the US and Ukraine, and fighting propaganda in news.

He was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, and attended the Kyiv Schevchenko National University before transferring to the Technical University of Munich. After graduating from TUM, he worked as a software engineer in Canadian startups, and, later, after getting his MBA degree from the Wharton School, in product management at Amazon Web Services and Microsoft. He also founded and served as the CEO of Cuesense, a startup developing innovative natural language processing techniques for the marketing industry.

He is currently based in Seattle, United States, and enjoys hiking in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest with his wife and two sons. He is an active angel investor in the US and Ukrainian startup scenes.
